(1) The three paths all have to tread; 輪廻三道, 三輪, i.e. (a) 煩惱道 ; 惑道 ; the path of misery, illusion, mortality; (b) 業道 the path of works, action, or doing, productive of karma; (c) 苦道 the resultant path of suffering. As ever recurring they are called the three wheels.(2) 聾, 緣, 菩 (sa) śrāvakas, (sa) pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, cf. 三乘.
